Cranial Osteopathy
Cranial osteopathy is a set of techniques used by many osteopaths which it is taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It is a gentle, non-invasive form of osteopathic care that uses light-touch techniques to support the body’s natural ability to release tension and restore balance.
As the techniques are safe, gentle, and non-manipulative, they are often used when treating young children and newborn infants. Some patients may come to see an osteopath specifically for Cranial Osteopathy, often if they are nervous about having stronger hands on work or manipulations. For other patients the techniques will be used alongside the many other techniques osteopaths can use when treating a patient.
Osteopathy is a legally protected title so the public can be sure that anyone using the term Cranial Osteopath has the same undergraduate qualifications as any other Osteopath.
